Sodium hypochlorite
Sodium hypochlorite is a chemical compound commonly used as a disinfectant, bleaching agent, and oxidizing agent. It is the main active ingredient in household bleach.
Technical Properties:
• Chemical formula: NaClO
• Appearance: Usually a pale greenish-yellow liquid
• Common concentration: 5–6% in household bleach, but industrial solutions are stronger
(10–20% or more).
The 15%–19% Specification
When you see “Sodium Hypochlorite 15%~19%”:
• It means the solution contains 15–19% available chlorine (NaClO by weight in water).
• This is a high-strength, industrial-grade solution (much stronger than household bleach).
• At this concentration, it is used in:
o Water treatment (disinfecting municipal water, wastewater, and swimming pools).
o Textile and paper bleaching.
o Chemical manufacturing (as an oxidizing agent).
Safety Notes
• Highly corrosive to skin, eyes, and metals.
• Reacts with acids to release toxic chlorine gas.
• Should be stored in cool, ventilated areas, away from sunlight (it decomposes with
heat/light).
Packing:
We have four kinds of packing: First packing is 220Liter drums PE (four drums shrinking on a pallet)
per pallet contain 1.060 MT sodium Hypo.
The next packing form is: IBC and the each IBC weight is: 1.200MT.
The third packing is Bulk.
The fourth packing is 20 Liter drums, 48 drums shrinking on one pallet each drum weight is: 24kg and
each pallet is: 1.152 MT
